680 Series - Edison

The Edison is a 6–7 person hot tub from the Sundance Spas 680 Series that comes with the Custom Luxury (CL) package fitted as standard. That means the premium touches — CL Designer stainless steel jet trim and perimeter LED lighting — are included from the factory, not added as extras. It's a spa that looks and feels a step above what you'd normally expect at the 680 Series level.

The standout difference between the Edison and other models in the 680 Series is the dual pump system. Where the McKinley runs its 44 jets from a single pump, the Edison has two — a 2-speed 2.0 hp (2.6 bhp) pump and a 1-speed 2.0 hp (3.0 bhp) pump. That's a significant upgrade. Two pumps mean more water flow, more pressure at each jet, and a noticeably stronger massage. If jet power matters to you, this is the model in the 680 Series that delivers it.

Five jet types are placed across the seating — SL Directional, SLR Rotational, SL3 Directional, SL3R Rotational and SL5R Rotational. The directional jets let you aim the water flow precisely where you need it, while the rotational jets provide a broader, sweeping massage pattern. With two pumps driving these jets, the massage experience is fuller and more powerful than a single-pump spa of the same size.

The perimeter LED lighting is a genuine visual upgrade over the standard multicolour footwell LED found in other 680 models. Rather than a single light in the footwell, the perimeter LEDs run around the interior of the spa, creating an even, atmospheric glow across the whole shell. It transforms the look of the spa in the evening — especially combined with the variable flow waterfall and the stainless steel jet trim catching the light through the water.

At 214 cm × 214 cm × 92 cm with 1,325 litres of water, the Edison is slightly more compact than the McKinley (226 cm × 226 cm, 1,552 litres) but still comfortably seats 6–7 adults. The 92 cm height provides the same good water depth for a full-body soak. It's a practical choice if you want a large group spa but have a slightly tighter space to work with — 12 cm narrower in each direction can make a real difference on a patio or deck.

Filtration is handled by a single 50 sq. ft. filter — a larger filter area than many entry-level spas — paired with ClearRay Active Oxygen UV-C technology. The ClearRay system treats the water using UV-C light, neutralising waterborne pathogens without adding chemicals or by-products. It means less chemical use overall and cleaner, fresher water between maintenance sessions.

The variable flow waterfall adds a visual and audible element — adjustable from a gentle trickle to a fuller flow depending on your mood. Combined with the perimeter LED lighting, it creates a genuinely inviting atmosphere for evening use.

Shell colours include Platinum, Porcelain, Monaco, Celestite and Midnight. Cabinet options are Slate and Graphite.
